I enjoyed several different podcasts.

I think that they could be useful to the library. Imagine podcasts that help first time users with different items in the library. (card catolog, computers,etc.)

I must admit I do love podcasts.
There are several that I subscribe to.

Method 12

I enjoyed a number of things about this program. There were a number of the technologies that I used for myself personally. Now I have learned that I can connect them all together. I can save myself time and still have the benefits I had before.
Flicker was interesting. I can see places I may have seen before, but you get another persons perspective on it.

I guess it goes to show that times are a changing and we better be ready to go with the flow.
Hopefully I will always be up for the challenge. This program made it fun and easy to work with my schedule.

I think that something I didn't expect to see was how open people are with certain things. Even though there are security measures it still leaves me a little unnerved.

I really enjoyed the content. It gave me an expansion on some things I already know.
I really did enjoy that it worked on my time frame.

I would love to participate in another program and I really look forward to hearing from you.

I share photos with family and friends, but not on flickr.

I know you can make your photos private. Call me paranoid, I just don't want anything where people can easily hack into it.

I imagine lots of people enjoy this, and I'm not saying there weren't pictures that were very pretty. Just have my doubts that I will use this in the future.

Method 10

I really enjoyed the Wiki and everything it has to offer.

How many times do we have programs we organize and you send e-mails back and forth.
Here you can plan and one person can expand on your idea while another adds something.

I really think this can be a benefit for our library.

Method 9

I love IM chat, constantly use it with family and friends. It is easy once you know what your doing and let's you talk to them while your checking e-mail or just browsing on line.

I think it's great for a library if you have a large staff. I know we are a smaller library and most of the time if they send a IM we would have to not tend to a patron to answer them.

Not saying that I don't like the idea, because I think it is wonderful! Hopefully in the future we will be able to go to something like IM.

Method 8

I have to admit I have always had an issue with social networking sites.
After reading certain things today, even more so.

I realize there are benefits.
With some information I just don't feel comfortable everyone having access. Plus it's not just me what if they get things about my friends, pictures of my family together.

Call me a sceptic, but I just have my doubts.

Method 7

I really enjoyed this.
I know that we have our library website where they can log on for homework help in certain areas. I just see such a practical use of this. We have kids come in with projects and they search and search. If we can tag the information and log into it from any computer it's wonderful!

I chose this one because it's a tour of the town where I went to college.

I honestly think certain videos are great for our website.

Training , and self help videos are a way for them to find out about certain aspects of the web.

I really think it can be very useful.

Method 4

I linked some of the sites that I might enjoy more than others.
I picked cute overload because who doesn't enjoy a good laugh with cute animals.
The big picture site had more news oriented items.
What's hot in google just because I might find something others found enjoyable to my liking.
When I have more time to play with google reader yes I might find myself enjoying the sight.

Method 3

I believe that some of these tools and concepts can be very helpful. At the same time I'm one who always tends to fall under the skeptical. Call me overly cautious if you will; I just don't feel really comfortable with certain things just out there.

There may be some benefit for libraries, I don't doubt that. I also know that at this time we have had to block my space and other such sites because people were complaining that they could see some of the pictures from other people and it looked like porn. Any mother who walks in with her 12 year old daughter does have a right to complain if their child looked over and saw that.

Methods 1 and 2

People being able to interact with the library is a good thing.
I enjoy all the new resources available to us.
When I get to ordering new items I might check several different blogs to get a different perspective on a certain item.
